Did you ever feel like nobody in the world loves you? Ever felt like nobody cares who you are…or that you even exist?
It’s an awful feeling….and most of us have felt that way at one time or another. It’s uncomfortable….and can befrightening. But we don’t have to feel that way.
Even when you feel all alone…you are not. That’s right…you are not alone. And there is someone who cares about you.
God cares about you.
In the New Testament book of John, we read:
“God loved the people of this world so much that he gave His only Son, so that everyone who has faith in Him will have eternal life and never die.”
That’s right—God gave His only Son to die for you and me. It takes a lot of love to do something like that. Imagine allowing your only Son—your only unique Son—to die so that others might have the hope of eternal life.
John also wrote that Jesus told his followers, “You must love one another, just as I have loved you.”
He wants us to love each other, just like He loves us. If we do that, then we’ll have a lot of people who love us. And that’s a very good thing.
The next time you feel depressed and all alone in the world, please remember that you are not alone. God is with you. Then reach out to show love to someone else.
God loves you and so do we.
